Microsoft has come under fire for holding a private concert for its executives the day before it announced that it would be cutting 10,000 jobs. The technology company had just held a concert in Davos the night before it said it would be cutting 10,000 jobs, the most recent round since 2014.
It was a small gathering of about fifty people, including the top executives of the company, who got to "enjoy the evening listening to a Sting performance." Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella informed employees on Wednesday that his company will cut 10,000 jobs, or less than 5% of its total workforce, in order to align its cost structure with revenue and customer demand.
