Microsoft Copilot, previously known as Bing Chat, is introducing a new feature called 'Notebook' that increases the character limit to 16,000. This is four times more than its competitors, ChatGPT and Copilot. The Notebook feature will be available to all users, including consumers, and allows them to provide more information and customise prompts for the GPT-4-powered chatbot.
However, Notebook will not replace the main Copilot interface but will exist as a separate functionality for users who want to ask questions or fine-tune lengthy research documents or other content. One of the key advantages of Copilot Notebook is its ability to remember previous prompts and save the results of the conversation. This means that if users ask the AI chatbot to write or summarise a document and inquire about it later, the chatbot will recall the original document.
The Notebook feature also comes with a new layout that organises prompts on the left panel, while the results appear on the right side of the screen. This allows users to easily modify their prompts to achieve the desired results. Microsoft is currently in the process of rolling out Copilot Notebook, so it may take some time before it becomes available on your account.
