Mesh: Microsoft Teams latest Platform, Creates 3D Space for Meetings

Microsoft has Microsoft Mesh as a latest feature of its Teams App. It is a mixed reality platform that enables users to engage in immersive 3D meetings within virtual environments.

Mesh offers pre-designed 3D immersive spaces, made for meetings and social interactions, which allows Companies to customise the virtual environments, they can incorporate informational videos, presentations, and more. 

Companies can recreate desired locations or events virtually, fostering a unique and engaging collaborative experience. Users can also create and customise avatars, providing a personalised touch to their virtual presence.

Mesh, based on the popular Unity game engine, functions seamlessly with or without a VR headset, its versatility ensures that users on both Meta's Quest VR platform and standard desktop PCs can participate in these virtual meets.

Basic features for Microsoft Teams business plan users are available for free. Additionally, a Teams Premium license is required for a fully customized immersive experience. Microsoft is offering a six-month free trial for users on business or enterprise plans. For individual users, pricing ranges from $4 per month for Essentials plan subscribers to $57 per month for Microsoft 365 E5 users.
