LinkedIn introduces verification tools for job postings

LinkedIn has launched verification tools to protect job seekers from fraudulent activities. According to a blog post by LinkedIn, the company will now display verified information about job posts and the companies involved. This verification process involves confirming the authenticity of the information by the job poster, LinkedIn, or one of their trusted partners. The platform will show indicators such as affiliation with an official company page, verification of work email or workplace, and validation of government ID through CLEAR, a secure identity platform.

The rollout of verifications on job postings is currently in progress, and LinkedIn has plans to expand access to these verification tools for free. This means that users will come across more verifications while browsing job opportunities. Recently, LinkedIn introduced features that allow users in the US to verify their identity and workplace. Once users complete the verification process, their profiles will display a new "verifications" section located below the 'connect' and 'message' buttons. Visitors to their profiles will notice a checkmark next to a "Government ID" banner, indicating that the user's government ID has been verified.
