Instagram, which is owned by Meta, is currently testing a new feature that will enable creators to share noteworthy comments from their fans on their Stories. This includes comments on their posts or Reels. In a post on the -IG Updates channel, Instagram's head, Adam Mosseri, expressed the company's desire to make it simpler for creators to showcase engaging comments. "We're currently in the process of testing a feature that enables public accounts to share comments from any public feed post or Reels onto their Stories. The intention behind this is to assist creators in showcasing significant or captivating comments originating from other creators or their audience," he explained. Creators can highlight comments by swiping and tapping "Add to Story". The comments are supposed to appear in the Stories feed with the original post.
Mosseri did not disclose any details about when the feature will be available to the public or the extent of the testing. However, Instagram is developing a new feature that will enable users to produce audio recordings. Mosseri mentioned on his broadcast channel that although they have not commenced public testing, they are currently working on the capacity to create audio notes for sharing with friends.
In December of last year, Instagram introduced a feature called 'Notes' which enables users to share their thoughts and stay updated on their friends' activities. With Notes, users can create brief posts of up to 60 characters using text and emojis.
