Workers are on strike at Apple stores all over France, demanding better pay. It's a nationwide strike by around 2,100 employees, and it's happening just in time for Apple's iPhone 15 launch in France on Friday. People were queuing outside stores to get their hands on the new phone, but they had to wait in line outside the stores.
French labour unions are demanding a 7% pay hike for Apple store employees across the board to compensate for rising inflation. Union leaders rejected Apple's offer of an average 4.5% increase.

Around 40 people showed up to line up outside the Apple store in central Paris to buy an iPhone, despite the strikes and pouring rain. Around the same number of workers were outside, holding placards asking for bigger paychecks.
According to CBS NEWS, the US tech giant's proposal is lower than France's current inflation rate of 4.9%. The strikers are also demanding an end to the company's hiring freeze that has been in place for the past months. The strike is the latest setback for the tech firm's French operations.
