Over the past few months, we have witnessed how large language models like ChatGPT are capable of generating textual content, how image generators such as Stable Diffusion can create images on demand, and even how some models can perform text-to-speech tasks. One enterprising developer, who goes by the handle Pizza Later, took things a step further by integrating five different AI models to develop a live-action commercial for a fictional pizza eatery called "Pepperoni Hug Spot."
The video that emerged is a combination of unsettling and remarkable features. On the one hand, the advertisement showcases people who appear almost real, cooking, delivering, and consuming appetizing pepperoni pizzas, complete with realistic-sounding conversations and background music. On the other hand, some of the characters' facial expressions and lifeless eyes are a little too much, bordering on creepy.
