BharatPe introduces Android PoS terminal for multiple digital payments

On Friday, BharatPe, a leading fintech company, introduced a brand-new Android point of sale (PoS) terminal named BharatPeSwipe Android. This innovative terminal provides a variety of options for accepting digital payments, encompassing debit/credit cards, UPI, mobile wallets, and QR codes. Running on the Android 10 operating system, the fresh gadget is equipped with a 5.5-inch high-definition touchscreen and a durable battery that supports rapid charging. It boasts compatibility with both 4G and Wi-Fi, ensuring enhanced connectivity.

Leveraging the BharatPe merchant app, this point of sale (POS) innovation presents users with an uncomplicated and user-friendly interface. It also provides the advantage of prompt settlements and streamlined transaction reconciliation, encompassing transactions conducted via BharatPe QR and BharatPe Swipe.

Through the utilization of BharatPeSwipe Android, merchants gain the capability to accept QR-based payments via dynamically generated QR codes directly from the device. Additionally, the company mentioned that merchants can produce tangible receipts for transactions conducted through QR payments. Nalin Negi, the Chief Financial Officer and interim CEO of BharatPe expressed that this new addition to their array of products is a robust yet user-friendly device that will further empower merchants to provide their customers with a seamless and secure payment encounter. The device is designed to cater to a diverse spectrum of merchants, including those in the small business segment.

With the introduction of BharatPe Swipe Android, the company has set ambitious goals to expand its POS network, aiming to double its current count within the upcoming year. Back in 2020, the company unveiled Linux-based POS devices and has since established an extensive network exceeding 200,000 POS machines across over 400 cities.
