Apple has released the first beta of its iOS 16.5 update, with a few new features identified so far. One such feature is the ability to initiate screen recordings via Siri, which can save time for frequent Siri users. To activate this feature, users can say "Hey, Siri record my screen" or "Hey, Siri record screen" from the home or lock screen, and the recording will start without a countdown. Users can end the recording and save it to the Photos app by saying "stop recording" to Siri. However, this feature only provides an alternate way to record the screen, as users were already able to do so using a dedicated button in the Control Center. The iOS 16.5 update is expected to be released in May, with additional features likely to be added before the global release. It is expected to be a minor update, with iOS 17 set to be unveiled in June.
