Aggressive Agripreneurship Ahead - Top Things to know if you are an Indian Agri-Preneur

With the world's population growing as it is right now, the demand for food is extensively increasing. If the world wants to cope with this growing population, then the agriculture production has to grow to double the current size in the next 30 years.

Modern Agriculture

Surviving and growing in this world has always had to do with innovation, out-of-the-box thinking and adapting to changes. In today's world of technology it seems fit for agricultural production to arm itself with the latest technologies.

Very rarely do we think of how and from where we have gotten our fruits or vegetables, we pick them from the aisle designated at the supermarket, go home and enjoy them. What we don't understand is how the food is delivered to us, and how the gradual changes have occurred, from traditional methods to the new-worlds approaches.

At this point most of the high-tech you are imagining in your head is available somewhere for agricultural purposes, or is about to be soon.

Agriculture Drones

Whether it be multi-speciality drones, used for thermal imaging, field monitoring and much more. Or unique new softwares, that keeps track of soil quality and weather conditions. OR bio-energy, Or farming robots. The agriculture sector is set to flourish with these and many other technological approaches.

When we look at where India stands in this new world order of agriculture, we look at up-and-coming startups, new initiatives and an all together aggressive attitude. With over 70% of India's population depending on the agricultural sector and 14% of India's total GDP coming from this sector, it is no surprise that even with the aggressive attitude India needs more participation. And this participation is not only the government, or some big companies' responsibility.

Indian Agriculture

This sector is in need of tech minds, great thinkers and innovative problem solvers. Now, the government has also shown its support for agri-tech. There should be no limits to adhere to. Another highly important key factor new startups and individuals who wish to step into this industry must remember is the importance of compatibility and communication.

All this agri-tech is completely new and fresh for many people especially for India's backbone, our farmers. New startups and individuals need to work alongside these farmers and communicate with them smoothly to bring India into this new industry.

communications will also help all the new players to keep indian traditions alive while also adding new technological development.

Afterall, india is Special and known for its traditions and culture, we need to keep them alive and bring the 21st century to them, not the other way around.
