The most expensive motorcycle ever sold at auction is a rare 1908 Harley-Davidson as per the data compiled by a website that tracks sales of vintage motorcycles.
The Strap Tank Harley-Davidson was reported to have been sold at the Mecum Auction in Las Vegas for USD 935,000 after auction fees. Because the model's fuel and oil tanks were secured to the frame with nickel-plated steel straps, it was given the name "strap tank."
