West Indies’ Kyle Mayers stuns Australia with a 105-metre Six

West Indies players Kyle Mayers has astonished the world by hitting an unbelievable six against Australia during the T20I in Queensland on Wednesday. The shot of Kyle was one of the exceptional shots in the recent memory of the T20I. The incident took place in the fourth over of the West Indies innings when the back of a length delivery of Cameron Green was shot for a 105-meter six by Mayer with a whip over cover off his back foot.

The left-hander Kyle got massive appreciation from the people including former Indian player Gautam Gambhir who said “ you are not allowed to do this”, and Former Australian player Adam Gilchrist tweeted “ I am sure there has been a better shot in the history of the game, but I just can’t remember it”. Mayers' shot featured five fours and a classy six, the video of which took no time to get viral on Social Media. The amazing shot came off a good length delivery, he made room and hit the ball square of the wicket. Mayer was out by Pat Cummins, after which the downfall of the west indies team started as they lost wickets in a quick cycle.

Though Australia beat West Indies by three wickets in the first T20I of the two-match series in Queensland. Captain Aaron Finch and wicketkeeper batter Matthew Wade starred for the hosts as they chased down the target of 146 runs in the last over. Aaron was awarded player of the match for his great innings of 58 runs off 53 balls. In West Indies, the opener Kyle Mayers scored the highest runs, accumulating 39 off 36 balls. Kyle Rico Mayers who is a regular player of his home side Barbados and a left-hand player of the West Indian cricket team was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League in February 2022. On 27th March 2022.

The second and final match between the two teams will be held on 7th  October at the Gabba.
