Mumbai Indians, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated Beth Mooney's Gujarat Giants by 143 runs to win the inaugural Women's Premier League game. Mumbai Indians scored 207/5 in their opening innings, with Harmanpreet adding 65. (30). Gujarat Giants were held to 64 runs in 15.1 overs by Mumbai Indians, who went on to win the game. Saika Ishaque of the Mumbai Indians claimed four wickets.
