Meet Vinita Shrimal Jain, a parathlete from Jaipur

Vinita Shrimal Jain, a decorated para-athlete from Jaipur, has faced numerous challenges throughout her career but continues to inspire many with her strength and perseverance. Despite battling knee issues and lacking proper support, she has won multiple gold and silver medals in javelin and discus throw at the state and national levels.

►Vinita completed her education at Maharani College and Rajasthan University.

►Despite physical challenges, she never took advantage of being handicapped and pursued a "normal" education like any other student.

🔹𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝑨𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔:

►Won gold and silver medals in javelin, discus throw, and swimming at state and national levels.

►Recently participated in fencing in Coimbatore, continuing her quest to excel in multiple sports.

►Travel difficulties due to being wheelchair-bound and the financial burdens of participating in events.

►Absence of consistent coaching and training infrastructure for para-athletes in Rajasthan.

🔹𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔:

►Vinita’s father, Dharamchand Srimal Jain, urged the Rajasthan PCI Association and the government to provide a dedicated coach and reduce financial burdens for athletes like Vinita. ►He also highlighted the lack of recognition and support from local authorities and sports associations.
