Real Madrid legend Luka Modric will leave the club after the Fifa Club World Cup, the club announced via a social media post. The club and Modric have decided to end this unforgettable journey after 13 glorious years. Modric will leave the club as their most decorated player with 28 trophies during his spell at the club. He is also one of the five players who have won 6 European trophies throughout football history and has the most titles in Real Madrid’s 123 years of existence. Modric won the Ballon d’Or in 2018 for his exceptional performance for Madrid and Croatia. He was also named the best FIFA player and UEFA player of the year. He has also been a part of the FIFA FIFPro World Eleven 6 times and has been named the best midfielder 2 times in the Champions League. Modric leaving Madrid truly marks the end of a beautiful era of football, where the midfielder dictated and led the Madrid midfield for 13 glorious years.
Modric’s letter to the fans
Luka Modric played 590 games for Madrid, in which the midfielder has scored 43 goals. The midfielder has written a letter to the Madrid fans in which he has written
"Dear Real Madrid fans,
"Time has come. The moment I never wanted to come, but that's football as in life everything has a beginning and an end... on Saturday I will play my last match at the Santiago Bernabéu".

Modric’s legacy will live on forever in Madrid’s history
Luka will play his final match at the Bernabeu on Saturday as Real Madrid will welcome Real Sociedad on Saturday in their final La Liga game. Modric was largely limited to substitute appearances this season, but he will be leaving Madrid as their most decorated player. Florentino Perez, the club president, acknowledged Modric and said

As we all know that all good things come to an end and Modric is leaving the club as one of the greatest to ever wear the white jersey and he is the last player out the big Madrid midfield of Kross, Casemiro and Modric to leave the club this truly marks the beginning of a New Era at Real Madrid and Modric is one of the last player to leave from the group of players who three peated the Champions League for Real Madrid.
