- India successfully carried out a test launch of its Short-Range Ballistic Missile, Prithvi-II from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur, off the Odisha coast, on Tuesday.
- The missile hit the target with great accuracy. With the start of user training, all of the missile's operational and technical parameters have been successfully verified, a Defense Ministry official said.
- Prithvi-II missile has been an integral part of India's nuclear deterrence along a well-established system.
- The Prithvi II missile has a range of about 350 kilometers.
