Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced plans to increase the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras, which sell subsidised medicines, from 10,000 to 25,000. The announcement was made during an interaction with beneficiaries of the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' via video conferencing. The Yatra aims to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a timely manner. As part of the event, PM Modi also launched a programme to increase the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras and dedicated the 10,000th Kendra at AIIMS, Deoghar. Additionally, he launched the 'Drone Didi Yojana', which aims to provide drones to women's self-help groups for rental services to farmers for agricultural purposes.
