Nina Singh becomes the first woman to head CISF

On Thursday the central government appointed Nina Singh as the first woman Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The 1989 batch IPS officer of the Rajasthan cadre is currently working as the Special DG of the CISF.

Rahul Rasgotra, the Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau is appointed as the new Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). He is the 1989 batch IPS officer from the Manipur cadre.

The current ITBP chief, Anish Dayal Singh is appointed as the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He is currently investigating the Parliament security breach that happened on the 11th of December. He also worked for the country’s internal security and counterintelligence agency for a long time.

The central government has also appointed Vivek Srivastava, a 1989 batch IPS officer of the Gujrat cadre as the Director General of the Fire Service, Civil Defence and Home Guards. He is also the special director at the Intelligence Bureau.
These are the latest changes made by the central government by selecting the top IB officials to head the parliamentary forces.
