Indian teen's extraordinary long hair breaks male hair world record

Fifteen-year-old Sidakdeep Singh Chahal, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, India, has achieved a remarkable feat by earning a place in the Guinness World Records for having the longest hair among male teenagers. His uncut hair has reached an astounding length of 4 feet and 9.5 inches.

Chahal's journey to this world record has been marked by his unwavering dedication. He diligently maintains his exceptional mane, washing it twice a week, with each washing session taking at least an hour to complete the careful process of washing, drying, and brushing.

When asked about his routine, he humbly mentioned, "It would take an entire day if it wasn't for my mother's help."

In adherence to Sikh tradition, Chahal usually ties his hair in a bun and covers it with a dastar (turban). Remarkably, despite his family and many friends also following the Sikh faith, none of them have hair as long as his.

Chahal shared how his family reacted when they first discovered the astonishing length of his hair, saying, "Many of my relatives were shocked to see how long it was."

Guinness World Records noted that when Chahal informed his relatives about his record-breaking hair, some of them were initially sceptical. He humorously recalled, "They thought I was joking, and it took a bit of proof to convince them."

While Chahal faced occasional teasing from friends during his younger years when he was outside caring for his hair, he now considers his remarkable hair length to be an integral part of his identity. It represents a unique achievement and a testament to his unwavering commitment.
