The internship applicant was rejected for not having a MacBook

Internship opportunities are a gateway for students to gain skills and be trained for their dream job. However, one person apparently had a bad experience with the practice. The company required the applicant to have his own  MacBook, and the person was rejected on the grounds that he was not having one.

When he was turned down because he didn't own a Macbook, it is fair to say that this student had an extremely strange experience.

An online platform  named as Grapevine-Corporate Chat India, where users share their workplace experiences, posted a screenshot of a person’s response to the query, “Most ridiculous reasons for getting rejected?”

The individual described his experience in response to the question, "Most absurd reasons for being rejected?"

“Applied for an intern position in an early-stage startup. Had a screening call with their HR. After the usual discussion, she told me that they won’t be able to provide work laptops before getting converted to a full-time position. Asked me whether I had my own laptop and WIFI. After telling her I had a windows laptop, she told me that they were only looking for folks with Macbooks and cut the call," the person wrote.
