The State Bank of India has posted a Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment advertisement announcing 2,000 vacancies. The recruitment process for PO started on September 7, and the last date to apply is set for September 27.
Eligibility Criteria: Graduation from any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government is required as an eligibility criterion. Additionally, candidates in the final year or semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination.
Age Criteria: The age limit for the application process is neither below 21 nor above 30 years as of April 1, 2023. The age rexalation regarding the upper age limits is also provided in the advertisement.
Reservations for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): The candidates with benchmark disabilities, i.e., 40% of a specified disability are only eligible. They will have to arrange their own scribes at their own cost if needed. They shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination, this time shall be provided regardless of whether they avail the facilities of the scribe or not.
Selection Procedure: The selection for PO will be through a three-phase process. The first phase is the Preliminary Examination, the second phase is the Main Examination and the third and final phase is the Group Exercise and Interview. the candidates will have to qualify both in Phase II and Phase III separately and those marks will be taken into consideration while preparing the final merit list.
Application Process: The candidates can apply only online from 07.09.2023 to 27.09.2023, no other mode is acceptable. The candidates should have a valid email ID and mobile number and should be kept active till the declaration of results.
