Irony of ironies: Sacked LinkedIn employees look for jobs on LinkedIn

The sacked employees of LinkedIn, a recruiting platform, are relying on the same platform to find new employment after the company began layoffs. Ironically, LinkedIn's hiring team includes the fired employees.

LinkedIn is included in Microsoft's larger plan to cut 10,000 jobs, which has affected HoloLens, Surface, and Xbox employees.The tagline "open to work" has been added to the profile pictures of several former employees of the employment networking platform to indicate that they are actively looking for a new position. Additionally, many talked about their disappointing experiences with LinkedIn firing them.

In response to "macroeconomic conditions and changing customer priorities," Microsoft announced last month that it would eliminate 10,000 jobs, or about 5% of its workforce, during this quarter.
