In 2023, there will be an average of more than 1,600 tech layoffs each day worldwide, including in India, and the pace of these firings has accelerated due to concerns about a possible recession. The layoffs have affected thousands of Indian workers. The number of layoffs in startup industries has already increased by about 40% since the beginning of the year 2023. 57,550 workers have been let go by 179 businesses thus far.
