Private Jobs

On the other hand, employment in the private sector is flexible to market changes, economic crises, and a given company's performance. Unlike government jobs, there is no security in the private sector because, during tough times, firms will lay off some of their employees. In government jobs, the structure of salary increments and pay review is available. Other than this, different types of medical benefits; pension plans, housing allowances, and many more are extra advantages for a government employee. Among these, some of the workers consider pension schemes as an excellent benefit in future life. 

Private jobs

In general, the private sector pays better than the government, particularly in specialized work fields of technology, finance, and consulting. The benefits are more well-distributed from company to company. Most companies either give health coverage, bonuses, and stock options; while some companies may be a bit skimpy. Against this, the jobs in this sector are more challenging, long working hours, and full of pressure. Those from the private sector normally find themselves working overtime to meet deadlines or targets. Which one is better? 

That must be the final decision of a person on which field to completely work in, depending on their diverse career aspirations, values, and preferences. If one's concern is stability, work-life balance, and long-term benefits, then a government job is a good option. On the other hand, if you are looking for growth, a higher potential salary, and are ready to take risks, you would want a job in the private sector.  

These two sectors diverge with their own sets of pros and cons. One has to be very careful while balancing the factors and should make a decision that will be in harmony with career ambitions and lifestyle.
