Amazon to cut 9,000 more jobs in fresh layoff round

As one of the world's largest companies, Amazon has been a major driver of employment and economic growth. However, in a recent announcement on March 20, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy wrote in a blog post that the company has planned to cut 9,000 jobs as part of its new round of layoffs.

This latest round will affect the staff of AWS, Amazon People eXperience and Technology, Twitch, a live streaming platform used by gamers, and its advertising personnel. Amazon announced earlier this year that it would lay off over 18,000 employees. Tech companies have been on a downsizing spree with major tech companies like Meta, Microsoft, and Twitter laying off thousands of employees.
