Tata Technologies Limited is a subsidiary of Tata Motors. Tata Technologies provides service in engineering, design, product lifecycle management, manufacturing, and IT service management in automotive, aerospace, industrial heavy machinery and other industries.
The Tata Motors subsidiary is working with two advisors to help raise Rs 3,500 crore to Rs 4,000 crore. The Tata Tech IPO is aiming to raise Rs 16,200 crore to Rs 20,000 on the tentative valuation as reported by Economic Times.
Tata Motors currently owns slightly more than 72% equity stake, Alpha TC Holdings own nearly 9% of Tata Tech as reported by IPO Central. Tata Capital Growth Fund and Tata Motors Finance Limited are major shareholders of the company.
The engineering subsidiary has received an in-principle approval from Tata Motors Board and private equity investor Alpha TC Holdings. The company is going ahead with a stock split (1:5) and bonus (1:1) in preparation of stock market debut as reported by IPO Central.
The date for the Tata Tech IPO hasn’t been officially announced by the company. The IPO will mark Tata Group’s first IPO since TCS’s listing in 2004.
