Former Twitter CEO, Parag Agarwal secures $30 Mil with new AI venture

Since leaving Twitter, former CEO Parag Agrawal has raised $30 million for his AI startup, which specializes in software for LLM developers. He has kept a low profile ever since.

With Parag Agrawal's controversial departure from the social media behemoth, Twitter (now X), the tech world is buzzing with activity.

After a stunning turn of events that saw Elon Musk fire Agrawal, he has quietly turned his attention to a new project: an AI startup for which he has raised an astounding $30 million in seed money. Agrawal has been keeping a low profile since leaving Twitter. According to people familiar with the situation, The Information reports that his new project attempts to develop software specifically for LLM (Large Language Model) developers.

Agrawal's AI innovation vision was supported by Index Ventures and First Round Capital, led by Khosla Ventures. Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter and rebranding to "X" were linked to Agrawal's exit, with Musk's initial intention to join the board being reversed.

Musk's initial bid to purchase Twitter for $54.20 per share faced legal disputes due to his demand for more transparent data on bot activity. Twitter attempted to force Musk to fulfil the deal, leading to counterclaims.

Following several heated back-and-forth discussions, the acquisition was finally finalized on October 27, which resulted in Twitter becoming part of "X." Agrawal, former CFO Ned Segal, and former chief legal officer Vijaya Gadde were all let go by Musk shortly after he carried out a major reorganization.
