Why do People Celebrate World Book Day?

It has become a necessity to preserve the book culture as with the growing age of digitization and gadgets we are losing our most special friend which was and is there with us for ages and helped us get through lots of struggles, the books. So we observe World Book Day to promote reading, literacy, and the love of books around the world.

It is a global event observed annually on April 23rd, which is also known as International Day of the Book or World Book and Copyright Day. World Book Day is organized by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and is celebrated in over 100 countries worldwide. The theme for this year is “Indigenous Languages.”
