It appears that Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea, has been very enraged due to the joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States. North Korea is currently showing off its extensive arsenal of nuclear weapons, which includes a recently launched underwater drone capable of generating extremely large radioactive waves in water. In addition to destroying enemy ports, Pyongyang believes its new nuclear drones will also interfere with naval activities in the target region.
The term 'Radioactive tsunami'
The "Haeil" or Tsunami drone system, which North Korea just unveiled and put to the test. It is intended to detonate submarines to produce enormous radioactive waves. "This nuclear underwater attack drone may be deployed at any shore and port or pulled by a surface ship for operation," reported by the North Korean state news agency KCNA .Kim Jong-un allegedly returned home "greatly happy" after the drone was successfully tested, according to the agency. The drone is particularly proficient at intruding up on adversary ships and then detonating an underwater explosive.
The tsunami drone test by North Korea
The South Hamgyong Province seashore is where the nuclear tsunami drone was launched earlier this week. According to reports, it travelled between 80 and 150 metres beneath the surface for 59 hours. After arriving at the desired spot, the drone exploded. Four other strategic cruise missiles with dummy nuclear bombs were also fired by North Korea.
Would North Korea use tsunami drones to strike its adversaries?
According to KCNA, the North Korean leader emphasised his desire to "make the South Korean puppet regime and the U.S. imperialists dive into sorrow for their choice." But, analysts are dubious of the country's bold claims regarding its sophisticated tsunami drones.
