Vladimir Putin has released a decree asking mercenaries and other military officials working for Russia or supporting Moscow’s "special military operation" in Ukraine to sign an oath of allegiance to Russia.
This decision was taken after Yevgeny Prigozhin, the volatile chief of the mercenary group died in a plane crash. Yevgeny Prigozhin is believed to be dead after it was found that the private jet he was travelling in crashed
