Two US Army AH-64 Apache helicopters crashed in Alaska

Three troops were killed and one soldier was injured on Thursday after two U.S. Army helicopters returning from a training trip collided in Alaska. The two AH-64 Apache helicopters crashed in Healy, Alaska, over 200 miles north of Anchorage, according to the Army's 11th Airborne Division, which verified the fatalities late on Thursday. Two out of four troops were pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, while a third passed away en route to a Fairbanks hospital. The Army stated that the event was being investigated and withheld the identities of the deceased until their relatives could be contacted. In one of the numerous recent incidents involving American Army helicopters, the crash happened. Nine troops were killed last month when two Black Hawk helicopters crashed while on a routine training exercise close to the Kentucky-Tennessee line. Additionally, two soldiers were hurt in February when an Apache helicopter collapsed in Alaska shortly after takeoff.
