Another incident involved a homeless guy in Georgia killing a student from Haryana named Vivek Saini. People knew that Saini helped the man by giving him food and clothes, but a fight over free food turned violent.

The Indian student Akul Dhawan was discovered dead outside of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in January. He died from hypothermia, according to the report. They are blaming the university's police department for negligence and inaction after their son was reported missing.
