Texas heat wave update: Warning remains until 8PM MDT today

The scorching heat wave in the Gulf is likely to head towards North Texas and the nearby states. A National Weather forecaster has mentioned that Oklahoma, Mississippi Valley, Alabama, Florida etc, will particularly face a very high effect during this heat wave. There has been a significant rise in temperature in Texas, which is almost 40.5 to 43.3 degree Celsius. Several weather forecasters are warning the public about the potential effects of this heatwave until 8pm MDT today.

 Electricity customers in one North Texas town could lose power for up to 4  hours amid heat wave

This heatwave in Texas is said to be due to a phenomenon called a “Heat dome”. A dome is an area of pace where excessive pressure accumulates in one place, trapping all the hot air. This poses health risks such as heat exhaustion and stroke, to people who have no access to air conditioning and area where the temperature remains humid at night.
