Single aircraft order from India generates 1 Million US jobs: PM Modi

The recent visit of India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to the US, brought out several changes to the relationship between India and the US. India and the US are thinking together about growing the Indo-Pacific region with all small and large nations with a strong connection. While addressing the US lawmakers, he put the business side of the cooperation in front of them.

He explained how things would be beneficial for both countries. He said, “If the defense and air business in India grows, it will ultimately hike the industries in American states like Washington, South Carolina, Alabama etc. Development of American firms will flourish their research and development centres in India. And a single aircraft order from India is able to create almost a million jobs in the US.” His words got support from the people present there except a few sceptics.

While talking about US-India ties, he described it by saying chemistry and cooperation in US-India relations is effortless. PM Modi criticized the Russia-Ukraine war situation and China’s efforts to grab the Indo-Pacific region, saying peaceful solving of disputes and respect for the integrity and sovereignty of the country is the basis of global order.
