Shark that ate man on camera to be mummified In Egypt Museum

The shark that killed a Russian guy swimming at the renowned resort is being mummified by experts in an Egypt museum. According to the Independent, a shark in Hurghada, Egypt, in June ate 23-year-old Vladimir Popov alive.

The 23-year-old's screams can be clearly noticed in the attack video that was recorded by a camera saying "Papa, save me!" Popov was seen in the footage splashing around hastily in the water before being pulled under.

While the rest of the victim's body was found by a fisherman in the sea, a few of his body parts were found inside the shark's stomach.

On Monday, experts from the Red Sea Reserves and the Institute of Marine Sciences started the animal's embalming, according to a local news source, Al Arabiya.

The desiccated shark will be on exhibit in the institute's museum once the procedure is finished, according to a New York Post report.

According to the Egyptian government, scientists are trying to determine what is causing the shark's behavior and whether it has connections to another shark that has "caused several previous accidents."

Russian-born Yury Popov, Mr. Popov's father, informed regional media sources that they went to the beach to relax and the incident took place in a matter of seconds.

"This meat grinder happened in 20 seconds, he was just dragged under the water. This is an absolutely ridiculous coincidence because it is a safe beach. There are ships and yachts around. It's never happened there. They usually attack wild beaches. It's just some kind of evil fate."

He said he would cremate his son and send the ashes of his body back to Russia.
