The External Affairs Ministry spokeswoman, Randhir Jaiswal, stressed the importance of these meetings and how they might boost collaboration between the two nations.

The warm greeting and dinner in honour of Prime Minister Modi demonstrated the close relations between the leaders of Qatar and India. During his visit, Prime Minister Modi had conversations with Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, about bilateral as well as regional issues.

Prime Minister Modi visited the UAE, inaugurating the UAE's first Hindu temple and highlighting growing cultural and religious ties between India and the UAE. He also released seven out of eight jailed former Indian Navy personnel and emphasised strong people-to-people ties between India and Qatar.

In short, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's trip to Qatar showed that India is still committed to strengthening its links with the Gulf coast. Through talking to each other and working together, each country wants to clear the way for the other to be stable and successful.
