North Korea seeks ‘volunteers’ to join Russian army amid Ukraine war

According to a Russian state television war correspondent, The Eurasian Times, North Korea is preparing to send 500,000 troops to support Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

According to the report, military affairs specialist journalist Aleksander Sladkov claimed that North Korea strongly supported Russia during the war in Ukraine.

He stated, citing sources in Pyongyang, that North Korea is willing to send troops to participate in the war and that at least 500,000 North Korean troops are prepared to assist the Russian military. He asserted that approximately 800,000 people have expressed their eagerness in response to North Korea's call for volunteers to join the war.

I was having a conversation with a friend who worked as the executive director of the Korean War Veterans Organization. Recently, he was present here. Guys, what's up?" I inquired. The report says that he said, "50,000 special forces are ready to deploy."

The United States of America had previously asserted that Russia was using North Korean weapons in its invasion of Ukraine. The claims have been refuted by North Korea as well as Russia.

North Korea and Russia, on the other hand, have both denied the United States' claims that Russia is purchasing millions of weapons and ammunition from North Korea.

According to John Kirby, a spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, North Korea provides Russia with a "significant amount" of artillery shells in secret. He added that the shipments are transported by North Korea through North African and Middle Eastern nations.

We indicate that the DPRK is making covert deliveries, and we will monitor if shipments have been received, according to John Kirby.
