Due to a system outage at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), all US flights have been grounded. The US government agency known as the FAA is in charge of air traffic management and many other facets of American aviation.

The Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system, which provides pilots with real-time information about changes and potential hazards on flight routes, was impacted by the issue. The FAA had stated that "all flights are currently grounded" and that it was "experiencing an outage that is impeding the update of Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs)."

After a system outage temporarily prompted authorities in the United States to ground planes across the country early Wednesday, airlines began resuming flights.

The FAA had lifted an order to ground all flights across the United States shortly before 9 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday. The specifics of the problem have not yet been revealed, but according to the White House, there is currently no proof that the computer problem is the result of a cyberattack.
