Jacinda Ardern, the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, has been awarded two fellowships at Harvard University's Kennedy School, including the 2023 Angelopoulos Global Public Leaders Fellowship and a Hauser Leadership position in the Center for Public Leadership. Douglas Elmendorf, the dean of the Kennedy School, praised Ardern's leadership skills and stated that she would provide valuable insights for students on public policy choices. Furthermore, Ardern will serve as the first tech governance leadership fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, where she played a key role in developing the Christchurch call to action against online extremism. In January, Ardern announced her decision to step down as New Zealand's Prime Minister after more than five years in the role, and she plans to return to New Zealand after completing her fellowships.
