On October 17, the Guinness World Records (GWR) tweeted that they officially announced Monday as the worst day of the week as it is perceived as slow and boring by the masses. Replying to that, on October 21, they said "guess this makes Friday the best day of the week then”.

On this, the netizens started sharing their thoughts immediately on this latest record of their favourite day. Some agreed by posting “definitely” and some tweeted that Saturday should be considered instead. "We also work on Saturday," tweeted one. "I'll go with Saturday because the next day is also off," another user replied. Engagements were boosted after this as it is relatable to people. Memes and personal responses were being posted.

Fridays can be enjoyable for some people as it can be the last working day of the week (for Monday-Friday workers) or for school students to enjoy and relax at their weekends. For many, it’s their payday and for else it’s time to hang out with friends and family. Muslims worship and spend time with their close ones on this day as they consider it an auspicious and special day.

An annual reference book called Guinness World Records compiles world records for human accomplishments and nature's limits. It was initially released in 1955 and was formerly known in early US editions as The Guinness Book of Records and The Guinness Book of World Records.
