Iran has declared that, effective February 4, visitors from India will not need a visa to enter the nation. India no longer needs a visa to enter Iran for stays up to 15 days, but they still need to abide by four regulations. This follows Iran's December grant of visa-free entry to India and thirty-two other nations.
According to the approval of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visa for citizens of India will be abolished starting from 4th February 2024 subject to the following conditions-

Visa-Free Travel to Iran
- Regular passport-holder Indians are permitted entry into Iran once every six months without a visa.
- The maximum stay is 15 days; it cannot be extended.
- The visa-free rule applies to tourism only.
- A visa is required for longer stays or multiple entries within six months.
- The visa-free rule applies to air travel.
In conclusion, there has been a significant increase in tourism as a result of the visa-free effort between Iran and India, with a 315% increase in foreign visitor arrivals in Iran in 2022. There has been a 25% rise in Indian visitors visiting Iran in the first half of 2023. It is expected that this effort will increase travel between the two nations and strengthen ties between individuals.
