Fatal Crash of 200+ Cars in China

A massive pileup involving more than 200 vehicles in the central Chinese city of Zhengzhou resulted in the death of one person on Wednesday.

The crash took place on a bridge in Zhengzhou. The reason for the crash was the thick fog due to the increased cold temperature. 

Although it is unsure who or how exactly the pileup started, it has been said that the visibility due to fog was incredibly low adding that to the slippery roads courtesy of the weather the pileup was an unavoidable occurrence.

During the time of the pileup there were no warnings or cautions placed that informed people not to take the bridge or to be extra careful. But several hours after the pileup the police released a warning for people to not cross the bridge.
During the pileup many people were trapped inside their cars. A Lot were injured. And there were big pickup trucks and lorries also involved in the pileup.

During rescue efforts, the bridge was closed to traffic by police, but it reopened later that afternoon.
