Jaishankar's meeting with Cameron happened amidst his five-day official visit to the UK. Both engaged in discussions about the potential strategic partnership and global issues like West Asia, the Ukraine conflict, and the Indo-Pacific.
Jaishankar's social media post highlighted a positive exchange with Cameron, expressing excitement about working closely on international matters. Cameron's appointment signals his return to frontline government roles after being away from active politics for seven years.
Cameron acknowledged current global challenges like the Ukraine war and the Middle East crisis, emphasising the importance of standing by allies and strengthening partnerships. He stressed using his experience to help the Prime Minister address these issues.
