Did you catch this? A Truck carrying oxygen triggers a massive Milan explosion

In the heart of Milan, Italy, an enormous explosion in a van carrying oxygen tanks caused several automobiles to catch fire. One person was hurt in the blast that shook the center of Milan. Apartment and a nursery school had to be evacuated due to the explosion.

Giuseppe Sala, the mayor of the city in northern Italy, informed reporters that neither terrorism nor any other criminal activity was to blame for the explosion. Sala said that no one had been killed as a result of the blast and that things were in order.

"It's a van carrying oxygen cylinders," Giuseppe Sala, the mayor of Milan, assured reporters outside the event that any attack was not planned.

"At the moment I'm told there is one injured... who I believe is the driver," he said, according to the AGI news agency.

Smoke inhalation has been reported to have affected one individual. According to Sky, the daycare's youngsters were safely evacuated.

Around 11:45 am, witnesses reported hearing an intense explosion.

A cloud of black smoke can be seen rising from a little street close to Porta Romana in the center of Italy's financial and fashion hub.

A fire department representative present at the site verified that the vehicle was transporting oxygen and that the driver was the only casualty.

He declared that the explosion's cause was being looked into.

An earlier fire department spokesperson told AFP that the injured individual suffered wounds to their arms and legs and that all nearby buildings had been evacuated.
