Aftermath :

An extensive investigation is already underway to investigate the cause of the explosion at the depot, which is critical in supplying petroleum to Guinea. The depot had been relocated to a remote location to reduce the likelihood of such catastrophic happenings. Unfortunately, the incident involved foreign individuals, emphasizing the international nature of the crisis.

Guinea, which depends heavily on imported refined petroleum products, is currently facing the threat of a substantial disruption in its supply chain. Authorities are working hard to identify critical fuel-related demands to avoid any disruptions in the flow of supplies from the capital to the rest of the country.
The effects have also resulted in the closure of schools and public areas in Conakry, as well as limited access to the impacted district. There is a request that citizens remain at home for their protection.
