Controversial UK laws may block iMessage and FaceTime for iPhone users

Apple Inc is likely to stop iMessage and FaceTime for users from the UK, as the firm's privacy policy assesses with that of the British Surveillance Laws. This move by Apple is a reflection of the UK government's decision against online privacy policies and message encryption issues.

The main concern of Apple is a new policy that allows the Government to access the details which are encrypted with a prior TCN( Technology Capability Notice )

Together, these provisions could be used to force a company like Apple, which would never build a backdoor, to publicly withdraw critical security features from the UK market, depriving UK users of these protections,” Apple mentioned as an opposition to the new UK laws on online security.
