Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, an YouTuber and rapper better known as Yung Filly, has been arrested for serious crimes against a woman in Australia. The 29-year-old entertainment personality has been accused of rape and choking a woman in a hotel room after his performance in Perth, Australia. The reported incident happened on September 28, after Yung Filly had held a performance at a nightclub.
Bail granted on tight conditions
Yung Filly pleaded his case, and he was allowed bail with some strict conditions. Conditions included being within the borders of Western Australia and having no contact with the alleged victim also, he was not allowed to do any posts on social media about the case. The court also directed him to surrender his passport to police and report them every day.
His bail amount was set at 100,000 Australian dollars (AUD), which is roughly equivalent to about 67,400 U.S. dollars.
Arrests were made in Brisbane on the east coast of Australia. His Australian tour was set to finish in Brisbane after visiting Melbourne and Sydney. Yung Filly, who has 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube is popular for his entertaining content and musical performances. The case will continue in Perth where the court will determine whether allegations be true or not.
