A new biography of Elon Musk reveals that the Tesla CEO has a third child, with his ex-partner, Canadian musician Grimes. The child, whose age has not been made public, is reportedly named Techno Mechanicus and goes by the nickname “Tau”.
Journalist Walter Isaacson, who is set to release his biography of Elon Musk next week, is the first to confirm that Elon Musk and his partner have a third child, according to a New York Times review.
The book, which is set to be released on Tuesday, is written by Walter Isaacson, a journalist who has previously written biographies of Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, and Benjamin Franklin.
The CEO of SpaceX, who is 52 years old, and the musician, who is 35 years old, have had an on-and-off romantic relationship since 2018. They became parents to their daughter, affectionately called Y, through a surrogate. Grimes disclosed her daughter's existence in a Vanity Fair interview in 2022, and she mentioned that both she and Musk have had a desire for "at least three or four" children.
Musk is also a parent to 19-month-old twins named Strider and Azure, whom he shares with Shivon Zilis. She is an executive at Neuralink, one of the companies that Musk helped establish. These twins' names were made public for the first time in a Time magazine cover story published on September 6, which was adapted from Isaacson's forthcoming biography.
The New York Times review says, Elon Musk's father, Errol Musk, has been described as emotionally and physically abusive. He has also been quoted speaking disparagingly of Black people. When Elon Musk agreed to meet his father in 2016, a friend recalled that it was the only time they had ever seen Elon's hands shaking. Walter Isaacson, the author of a biography of Elon Musk, writes that there are certain people who occupy a "demon's corner" of Elon's mind. These people trigger him, turn him dark, and rouse a cold anger. Elon's father is number one on this list.
While the musician Grimes, also known as Claire Boucher, was giving birth to their son X in May 2020, Elon Musk took a picture of the delivery and shared it with his friends and family, including her father and brothers. Grimes was understandably upset and asked him to delete it. "He was just clueless about why I'd be upset," she told Walter Isaacson. Elon Musk's relationship with the media, which was already difficult before he bought Twitter, became even more strained after the deal was announced Reportedly, The New York Times purchased copies of the book from a retailer that was selling it before its official release date.
