While many people struggle to complete a single pull-up, Australian fitness enthusiast Jaxon Italiano set a new Guinness World Record for most Pull Ups in 24hrs in his attempt to raise money for his favourite charity. The young fitness fanatic completed an astounding 8,008 pull-ups in 24 hrs, 293 more Pull Ups than the previous record of 7,715.
“Wow. That was messed up. After 8 months of training, I decided to put my body to the test and give it a crack at breaking the Guinness World Record for the Most Pull Ups in 24 hours”, said Italiano in his social media post.
Italiano was inspired to raise money for Dementia Australia after working in a care home. He began the challenge with the target of AUD 1 for every Pull Up. He successfully surpassed the target by collecting AUD 8,782 (Rs 4,63,064.32) in his attempt lasting for 21 and a half hours.
His post also states that he broke the 12-hour record by completing 5,900 pull-ups and that he couldn’t use the last 3.5 hours of the 24 hours due to exhaustion.
