This teapot, which belongs to the N. Sethia Foundation, set a record for being the most expensive teapot ever. The creation astounded a lot of people.
Although a teapot is typically thought of as a simple kitchen tool, you'll be surprised by how special this kettle is.
The N. Sethia Foundation (UK) and Newby Teas of London worked together to create the extraordinary teapot known as "The Egoist." This teapot broke the previous record for the most expensive teapot in 2016 with an astounding price tag of $3,000,000 (about Rs. 24 crores).
Italian jeweler Fulvio Scavia, according to Guinness World Records, is the creator of the pot. Sculpted mammoth ivory was used to make the handle. A base made of 18k yellow gold and real silver with gold plating makes up the pot's body. The gold is set with 386 pure Thai and Burmese rubies and 1658 real diamonds.
On August 9, this record was retweeted by Guinness World Records' official Twitter account. It has received more than 76,000 views since it was posted. Additionally, the share has received a lot of comments.
"I'm stealing this, how can a teapot be richer and worth more than me, N Sethia Foundation needs to adopt me or else" commented a user. "I'm curious, where did the foundation steal it from? I mean, seeing that most artifacts and antiques in the UK these days have been said to have been stolen from one colonized country or another," wrote another.
